Battle for Kursk

Had a game last saturday.. Suppsed to be an armoured clash in the vicinity of Kursk. The objective of Ivan being to delay german advance, keeping the central hill, while germans had to take that position in order to "gain teh day".

Russian set-up east flank..
Russians starts with infantry a handfull of heavy tanks, AA and AT guns
Russian command .. david is in charge of the right flank and decided to take his Infantry co for a walk in the forest.. Bertrand, in chagre of the centre knows the hill has to be held at all costs.
German command. the main problem for them will be delayed entry, their forces are impressive, two Panzergrenadier cies, Tiger, Panthers, Elephants - all unreliable, subject to breakdown, plus a handull of Mark III and IV..
the Drang nach osten starts...
the might of the 'Panzerwaffe"
Wise, german command decides to risk moving their elephants to a predominent position from wherethey will start to claim targets...
the next turn.....
as foreseen, the hill is the objective for both players.. traffic jams on the SouthNorth axis foreseen..

While the defenders starts to bow in front of the heavy pressure, reinforcements finally arrive...
15 T-34/76C... call it christmas..

problems with Club games is the time limit... we had to stop at 18h00, no one really prevailed.
callita draw then...
